Update voice though cuz he mispronounces quite a bit. Would love to see an option to customize the voice (change pitch, change speed, etc.) add more voices too? Would definitely give u a 5 stars then! :)

Love this app! It has so many classics I havent read! The design is good and clean. This is what makes me stay up late at night. And I image this will be a great app for long trips! Seriously, everyone needs this app... I mean its totally free!!

I was really excited about this app when I got it, but when I downloaded my iOS 5 the app stopped working. I hope the writers of this app can fix it. I loved the availability of all the titles. I love good literature.

Like many other reviewers, I was excited when I downloaded the app. But my excitement was quickly put out. It repeats titles numerous times, and it may seem like 80 books, but in reality, its about 40 instead. Dont waste your time on this.

It has the classics so Awesome

I noticed another reviewer with the same problem I am having - the books only go up to page 106 and then stop! Reminds me of The movie Elf, when James Caan doesnt think anyone will notice that a few pages are missing from the book!

What an awful app. It is very difficult to get pages to turn. In the second book i tried i couldnt get the pages to turn sequentially at all. If you manage that then the final pages are missing (Christmas Carol). Exploring ways to try to turn pages I brought up the search pane. After that, every time I trident to do a finger flick to turn the page the search pane came up. Barely usable at best, unusable at worst.

When I first found this app I was thrilled because I spend a lot of time at the hospital. I have downloaded this 2 different times & both times I cant even make it thru the entire list before the entire app shuts down. Very saddened by this.

The reader is unbearably bad ... it takes an act of will, and contempt for your users, to make it that hard to simply turn a page.

Its an ok app. The pages are hard to turn, and theres no good way of enlarging the text. Other than that though its a pretty good app.

Virtually impossible to turn the page without ten minutes of fooling with the bar at the bottom. Did the designers ever attempt to use the app? Apparently not. Total crap.

I never wrote a review about anything before, but i must do so about this app. After reading some of the reviews for this app. I almost didnt download it. I must say that Im glad I did! I didnt give it 5 stars because, as some people commented, a couple of the books are missing pages/chapters. I love the selection of the classics, especially for a daily 2-hour (each way) train commute to and from work. RE: The flipping of the pages... Its NOT difficult at all !!! All you have to do to flip the page with ease is to "grab" the page by the very edge of it, and turn it. Its not as some books that let you switch the page just by holding and flipping it anywhere on the page. All in all, this app is NOT BAD! I love it !

It seems there is a huge collection of books here. After an hour and a half of trying, I still cannot turn pages. Would someone please explain, explicitly, how to do this? Thanks.

-Turn pages by tapping the lower right side of the page and to go backward, tap the lower left hand side of the page. This app has a very basic and bare boned interface, but hey...its free and truly has many great titles to enrich your mind and soul! I love to read and even though Ive read many books that are considered classics, I still have many more books to read. I found a title on my wish list within the first 8 books.

Convenient to have all books in one app, but it crashes too often, and to turn the pages is a pain. Besides , the books are exactly the same they have in their website (and others since the copyrights have expire for all those books) for FREE. It is better to download only the books you want from their website, open them in iBooks and delete them when you finish, so you free some space in your iPad. Two stars for the title selection.

i do not know why people are complaining about page turn. eaither click on page edges or flip from edge. i didnt face any problem in that. thanks for great app

It crashes every time I try and go back to the book menu, so all I can ever read is Gullivers Travels. Also, the interface seems unnecessarily complicated for a program that only needs to display readable text. This makes it run extremely slow on my older iPhone. Probably less annoying on newer hardware. The crashing makes it unusable for me.
